How to Prepare for your Day Surgery

Bring necessary documents

Bring your necessary documents, such as identity card (for residents) or passport (for foreigners). Please bring your admission documents and any relevant reports and images as well.

Fasting is Required

Fasting is required for all procedures, except when patients are scheduled for local anaesthesia. We recommend fasting for at least 4 to 6 hours.

Inform us of your Medical History

Provide us with your full medical history, such as whether you are diabetic or taking any blood-thinning medication, as well as any allergies you might have towards medication, bandages or dressing.

Avoid Wearing Accessories

On the day of your surgery, do not wear any jewellery. Avoid or remove nail polish. Any dentures or contact lenses will also have to be removed before surgery.

Wear loose-fitting clothes

Please wear loose-fitting clothes and slip-on footwear. It will be best if you wear a front-button top.

It is a Day Procedure

Most surgeries can be done within half a day, and therefore you are not required to stay overnight. After the procedure is completed, our trained nurses / our care team will put you at our recovery ward under close observation. You will be discharged by our nurses once you are fit to go home.

It is also strongly recommended that you have a friend or relative to bring you home instead of driving on your own.

We are always here for you

Talk to one of our team if you have any concerns, questions or if you simply want to understand more about your procedure.
